About us

We make technology work for Tanzanian organisations.

A digital-solutions agency in Arusha: serious engineering, a real read of the local market, and a partnership that doesn't end at launch.

Our vision

To be a leading force for digital innovation in Tanzania, helping organisations of every size adopt technology, make sense of their data, and raise the quality of how they work.

Our mission

To partner with Tanzanian organisations across every sector and deliver digital solutions that are technically strong, locally relevant, and practical to run, so technology becomes an advantage rather than an obstacle.

Why we exist

Most software was built for somewhere else.

Most software was built for somewhere else. It assumes fast, constant internet, credit-card payments, English-first users, and budgets that fit a foreign price list. For a lot of organisations in Tanzania, that means working around the tool instead of with it.

We started Ubunifu to close that gap. We bring serious engineering — cloud, data, modern AI, full-stack web — and pair it with a real read of how business actually runs here. We build the digital side, then we stay on to run it with you.

What we're working toward

Four things we hold ourselves to

Make it accessible

Digital transformation that organisations of every size can actually reach, not only those who can afford a foreign vendor.

Start from here

Build around the workflows, languages, connectivity, and payment realities that exist in Tanzania, rather than retrofitting tools from elsewhere.

Bring capability in-market

Put cloud, data, and modern AI to work locally, so this expertise lives in Tanzania and serves Tanzanian organisations.

Build for the long term

Not launch-and-leave. We run, support, and grow what we build, and help your team build its own digital confidence.

What we believe

What we stand for

A few principles that shape every project we take on.

Built for Tanzania, not adapted

We start from the workflows, connectivity, languages, and payment realities that exist here, and build around them, rather than retrofitting tools made for somewhere else.

We build it, then we run it

We are not a launch-and-leave shop. Maintenance, monitoring, and steady improvement are part of the partnership, so your digital solutions keep delivering as you grow.

Pragmatic, not flashy

We ship what solves the problem, not what looks impressive in a demo. AI and automation go in only where they genuinely earn their place.

One team, no handoffs

You work directly with the people who do the work. No account managers, no telephone game, just clear and honest communication.

How we work

From first call to long-term partner

1

Listen first

We start from your reality — your workflows, your market, your constraints — not a template.

2

Scope honestly

A clear plan: timeline, deliverables, and pricing you can trust. We tell you what is realistic.

3

Build iteratively

Working software, shipped in steps, with you involved throughout. No big-bang surprises.

4

Run and evolve

We stay on to maintain, monitor, and improve it, so the solution keeps delivering as you grow.

The team

Who you work with

We're small on purpose. You work directly with the people who build the thing. No account managers, no handoffs, no telephone game.
