About UbunifuUbunifu Technologies

Built in Arusha. Close to the work.

We are a small, senior team combining consulting and product building. The same people who help frame the problem stay present through design, engineering, launch, and any support we agree together.

Why we exist

A consultancy that learns by building products.

The gap we keep encountering is rarely a total lack of technology. It is a patchwork of tools, spreadsheets, messages, and manual work that does not quite match the workflow or the support reality around it.

We started Ubunifu to work inside that gap. Consulting lets us understand specific organisations. Building products forces us to make those lessons reusable, dependable, and simple enough to operate. Each side makes the other sharper.

One studio. Two ways to help.

Operating principles

How we make the work useful

The standards we use to make decisions when the brief is incomplete and the trade-offs are real.

Built for Tanzania, not adapted

We start from the workflows, connectivity, languages, and payment realities that exist here, and build around them, rather than retrofitting tools made for somewhere else.

Plan beyond launch

Every engagement defines what happens next: an agreed support relationship, a documented handover, or a mix of both.

Pragmatic, not flashy

We ship what solves the problem, not what looks impressive in a demo. AI and automation go in only where they genuinely earn their place.

One team, no handoffs

You work directly with the people who do the work. No account managers, no telephone game, just clear and honest communication.

How we work

Close collaboration, clear decisions

1

Listen first

We start from your reality — your workflows, your market, your constraints — not a template.

2

Scope honestly

A clear plan: timeline, deliverables, and pricing you can trust. We tell you what is realistic.

3

Build iteratively

Working software, shipped in reviewable steps, with you involved throughout. Early feedback reduces late surprises.

4

Run and evolve

Where ongoing support is agreed, we maintain, monitor, and improve the system as needs change.

The team

Who you work with

We're small on purpose. You work directly with the people who build the thing. No account managers, no handoffs, no telephone game.
